This privacy policy explains how your personal data (will be referred to as “data” in the following) is collected, used and shared when you visit or otherwise use one of the entities covered by this policy. What Data Is Collected

Making A Donation

When you use one of the donation forms part of the online offer to make a donation, the data you provided in the form will be submitted and stored to process the transaction. A third-party payment service provider (read more in the payment service providers section) is used to fulfill the transaction itself, and none of your address or bank data is stored by the online offer internally. All uploaded files are usually publicly accessible, however it is impossible to browse the uploaded files, so a direct link to where the file is uploaded would be necessary to access it. Profile Pictures

The use of Gravatar allows the online offer to personalize visitors’ contributions. For this purpose, the email address used for commenting is transmitted to the Gravatar service in any encrypted way to check whether a profile picture is available for it. If you have an account with Gravatar and have a profile picture stored for the email address you use to comment, that picture is displayed alongside your comment.

Payment Service Providers

The online offer uses PayPal by PayPal Pte. Ltd., 2211 North First Street, San Jose, CA 95131, USA (privacy policy of PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/en/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full) as an external payment service provider to handle payment transactions. The data processed by PayPal includes name, address, bank data and other information required to process a transaction. All data entered on the websites or in apps that are part of the PayPal service is only processed and stored by PayPal and not forwarded to the online offer. Only information regarding the status of the payment is transmitted to the online offer, including an arbitrary identifier for the transaction to use for future reference, for example in case of refunds. Hosting

The online offer is hosted on cloud servers provided by DigitalOcean LLC, 101 6th Ave, New York, NY 10013, USA (privacy policy of DigitalOcean: https://www.digitalocean.com/legal/privacy/). While DigitalOcean is a global company, the datacenter used to host the online offer is located in Germany.

Social Media Profiles

Online profiles are maintained in social networks and other third-party platforms to communicate with possible customers, interested parties and other users, partly to inform them about the online offer. When accessing these networks and platforms, the terms and conditions of their respective operators apply.

Your Rights

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information held about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted.
